A workshop designed for families with children/adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other related behavioral disorders.
About this Event
This workshop is designed for caregivers with children who have not successfully responded to traditional potty training methods. Toilet training is one of the most important life skills that leads to more independence.
Therefore, this workshop will discuss the importance of toilet training, describe the barriers to toilet training individuals with special needs, and present a rapid method of toilet training (i.e., 4 – 7 days) based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). After attending this workshop, caregivers should feel confident in their skills to implement this method of toilet training.
Please note that childcare will not be provided at this event, but children are welcome to attend.
