Applying Behavioral Strategies for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Parents will learn how to implement strategies such as choice making, priming, redirection, visual supports, and more. These strategies can additionally be implemented successfully with siblings. Rapid Method of Toilet Training Individuals with Autism

Designed for caregivers with children who have not successfully responded to traditional toileting methods. In this webinar we’ll discuss the barriers to toilet training individuals with special needs and present a rapid method of toilet training (4 – 7 days) based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. As a result of this webinar caregivers should feel confident in their skills to implement this method of toilet training.

Assessment and Treatment of Problem Behaviors

This webinar will teach you how to identify the function of problem behaviors (i.e., why the behavior is occurring). We will also discuss best practice strategies and tips for decreasing problem behaviors and increasing more appropriate functional behavior. By the end of the webinar, attendees should feel confident in their ability to assess why a behavior is occurring and have a basic understanding of the best ways to respond to such behaviors.

Meet the Speaker

Blake Markley, MA, BCBA

Associate Clinical Director

Blake Markley is the ALP Associate Clinical Director and grew up in Carmel, Indiana. Blake has been in the field of behavior analysis for over 5 years and has held several positions during her career and started as a Therapist, then became a Trainer and has also served as a BCBA Supervisor. ALP is honored to have Blake lead the Indiana region. Blake is a talented behavior analyst and has a strong passion and talent for training staff/community members and parents. Blake is passionate about early intervention but also has experience working with adolescents and teenagers. Blake comes from a diverse background and has worked in both a clinic based setting and in home/community settings. Blake is extremely motivated to continue to learn in and out of our field. She routinely requests journal articles or training opportunities to continue to grow personally and professionally.
