Meet the Executive Director at ALP Fresno

April Torres M.Ed., BCBA

April Torres is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and the Executive Director of the Central Valley and Redwood Coast. She began working with children with special needs in 1997 and continues to be passionate about helping children reach their potential. April earned a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master’s in Education in 2010. She became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2015. April joined the Autism Learning Partners clinical team in 2016 and oversees clinical services in Fresno, Madera, Merced and Stanislaus Counties.“I feel fortunate to provide support and education to families affected by autism. I believe every child can learn and have fun while doing it! Smiles and laughter from the children I work with are the biggest reward”

Meet the Associate Clinical Director at ALP Fresno

Kristi Subia, M.S., BCBA

Kristi Subia started in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2013 as a Behavior Technician (BT). She had always worked with kids in some capacity, and only learned of ABA after her undergraduate program was completed. Once she started working one on one with children as a BT, she fell in love with the field and philosophies of ABA and decided to start a graduate program. Kristi went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. She worked her way up to a supervisory position and earned her board certification (BCBA) in 2016. Kristi has worked primarily with youth and adolescence (ages 18 months to 18 years) and also has some additional experience working with adult populations in group homes. Her passion has always been working in the in-home setting. Kristi currently serves as a Registered Behavior Technician (RTB) and BCBA supervisor to several ALP employees. She enjoys teaching others ABA and has dedicated herself to improving the quality of services delivered to our clients. Kristi also enjoys data analysis and loves looking for ways to modify programs to best fit individual’s needs.

Gina Chang started her career as a Behavior Technician and today sits on our executive team as President and COO. Her passion for excellence in clinical care and her devotion to helping families with autism live successful lives make her a model team member for our entire organization.
