Chris Boldt MA, BCBA

Clinical Director

Chris began working in the field of applied behavior analysis in 2012 as a behavior technician working with children diagnosed with Autism. He shortly learned this was the field he wanted to make a career out of. He completed his graduate work at California State University, Northridge, earning a Master Science in Applied Behavior Analysis degree in 2015. Since that time, he has gained experience applying behavior analytic principles in various settings including schools, center-based programs, and group parent trainings. Chris has a passion for ABA and is motivated by the positive impact he can have on the lives of others.

Frequently Asked Questions in Sacramento

We do not provide support with working on homework during a session. However, we can target maladaptive behaviors surrounding homework, such as targeting task avoidance of completing it.

Therapy sessions could take place in your home or community environment, depending on what the ALP Clinical team recommends, and if the school and insurance provides approval.

We utilize best practices of Applied Behavior Analysis, which at times, does include response blocking, physical prompting, and safety care procedures (used to deescalate maladaptive behaviors).

There are parent organizations and resources within Sacramento that may be helpful supplements to ABA therapy. Please contact us for more information.

The medical diagnosis must come from a diagnostic provider, such as a Primary Care Physician or Psychologist. Unfortunately, an IEP will not suffice on its own. A diagnostic evaluation, like the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), would need to be completed.
