About Autism Learning Partners in St. Louis

Autism Learning Partners (formerly Pacific Child & Family Associates) began offering services to children with autism and other development disabilities, and their families, in 1988. The company was an early proponent of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and quickly adopted this clinical methodology as the cornerstone of its services to children and families.  Autism Learning Partners now offers treatment services in many states across the US, collaborating with doctors, therapists, families, schools, and specialists for complete, effective care.

Rahil received her Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pepperdine, and her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Rahil has been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2002 working with children and adults with developmental disabilities. Rahil’s passion is improving the quality of life for families and ensuring that programs result in long term success. In her free time, Rahil enjoys spending time in the South Bay community with her husband and three boys. “Helping reach more families in need of our services and becoming a part of their community is something I am grateful in being a part of. Rahil drives growth through supporting new De Novo launches as well as supporting the integration of new acquisitions into ongoing operations.

Frequently Asked Questions in St. Louis

Therapy sessions might take place in your home or community, depending on what the ALP Clinical team recommends. Each session, a Behavior Technician will work one-on-one with your child, targeting individualized goals embedded into fun and functional activities. Sessions can last 2-4 hours depending on your child’s needs. Parent training is always a part of the treatment plan, as we want you to have that support.

The medical diagnosis must come from a diagnostic provider, such as a Primary Care Physician or Psychologist. Unfortunately, an IEP will not suffice on its own. A diagnostic evaluation, like the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), would need to be completed.

We use evidence based behavior analytic techniques. The specific techniques implemented by the ALP Clinical team are entirely dependent on your child and the goals identified during the assessment. Your Clinical Supervisor will discuss the techniques more during the assessment. It’s important to our clinical teams that the right techniques are selected for your child. There are no one size fits all.

Yes, if it is considered medically necessary by the ALP Clinical team, the school district allows, and the insurance provider approves. We will collaborate with the education team to build a comprehensive plan for your child.

ALP’s Social Skills Groups are led by experienced and trained staff to facilitate healthy peer relationships, teach coping mechanisms, and provide tools to cope with social changes and learning healthy choices for emotional expression. Parental involvement is crucial to the generalization and maintenance of skills children will learn. Parents are trained in using techniques that are demonstrated in Social Skills Groups.
