Unfortunately, Texas Medicaid does not currently fund ABA therapy. In June 2019, Texas passed a bill (HB1) requiring the coverage of Intensive Behavioral Intervention (inclusive of ABA therapy), but the benefit has yet to be finalized. You may track the progress of the ABA therapy implementation at the TX ABA Public Policy Group website. For further information on ABA therapy in general, you may visit the ABA section of the Texas Health & Human Services website.
